We've rebranded: ProntoHQ is now Pipecorn.

Pipecorn vs ZoomInfo

A side-by-side look at what each tool finds on the same list, what it costs, and what comes with it.

The independent test

They did the benchmark for you

Quentin Kozyra, Head of Growth at Hyperline, ran six providers on the same contacts. A number counts only once a rep reached the right person.

01 Same process

  1. 290 contactsUS, UK and France, the same list sent to every provider
  2. EnrichingSix providers, ZoomInfo and Pipecorn among them, each on its own with no waterfall
  3. SDR callsReps dial every number. It counts only once they reach the right person

02 Different results

Across 290 contacts in the US, the UK and France, Pipecorn found the right number for 83% of the contacts a rep confirmed. ZoomInfo found it for 57%.

A month ago I turned phone enrichment into a contest at Hyperline. Thanks to this project, I can already say we will improve our connection rate by 20%.

The setup: 6 providers on the same list, no waterfall. […] 170 contacts, 169 enriched. Then we actually called.

Here are the 3 things I am taking away.

1. Decide what matters before you pick a provider. Volume of good numbers, or precision? You rarely get both. Pipecorn found the most good numbers. […] Two different bets. Pick yours first, then pick your tool.

2. There is no perfect provider, only a good stack. Pipecorn covered 76% of all the good numbers we found. To get the rest you do not need a better primary, you need the most complementary secondary. Coverage compounds when providers pull from different sources. No need to stack many tools, just the most complementary one.

3. The right stack changes by country. Some providers were excellent on the US and weak on the UK. A stack that wins in one market can quietly lose in another. Test per geography, not in aggregate.

What a team pays

Pay for data, not for licences

ZoomInfo publishes no price. Tropic, a procurement firm, lists its entry plan, Professional+, at $14,995 a year for 3 licences and 5,000 credits, plus $2,500 for each extra licence, and every exported profile spends a credit. Pipecorn's prices are public and its seats are free. Set your team to see both bills.

ZoomInfo$33,295a yearProfessional+ at list price Β· 10 licences Β· 9,000 credits a year

Pipecorn costs 88% less for this team. Each rep reveals 75 verified mobiles a month, about 4 a working day. ZoomInfo at list price, read in its favour. The entry plan, extra credits at its lowest rate ($0.20), every export counted as a found mobile. Pipecorn stays at least 81% cheaper at every team size, and still cheaper at the deepest discount Tropic reports (65% off list). Vendr's median ZoomInfo contract is $33,500 a year.

In Hyperline's call test on 290 contacts across the US, the UK and France, ZoomInfo found the right mobile for 57% of the contacts a rep confirmed, and 45% of the numbers a rep could grade on the phone reached the right person. It was strongest in the US, with 65% coverage and 57% precision, against 82% and 58% for Pipecorn. It was weaker in the UK, at 53% coverage, and in France, at 55% against 93% for Pipecorn. On the US and UK contacts it returned no number at all for 18%, against 5% for Pipecorn.

ZoomInfo does not publish its prices. Its pricing page asks you to request a quote and says the price depends on features, the number of licences and credit usage, with one credit spent on every profile exported. Tropic, a procurement firm, lists its entry plan, Professional+, at $14,995 a year for 3 licences and 5,000 credits, Advanced+ at $29,995 and Elite+ at $35,995, with $2,500 for each extra licence. Vendr's data on 1,576 purchases puts the median contract at $33,500 a year. Pipecorn's prices are public, from $49 a month, with unlimited seats.

Hyperline did, on its own contacts, to choose its own provider. Quentin Kozyra, Head of Growth, put six providers, ZoomInfo and Pipecorn among them, on the same 290 contacts across the US, the UK and France, with no waterfall, and had the sales team call the numbers. Hyperline is a Pipecorn customer today. We did not run the test or grade the calls. The US and UK figures come from his analysis, France from the results he shared with us, and All combines the markets weighted by contacts.

Pipecorn used to be called ProntoHQ. It is the same product and the same data. The rename happened after the test.
