# How to push leads to HubSpot (and Salesforce)

> Connect HubSpot to Pipecorn, map the fields and the owner, then push a lead list with its emails and phones. Salesforce works the same way. Steps and video.

Source: https://pipecorn.com/pipeschool/crm-sync

To push leads to HubSpot, connect it once under **Integrations**, map the fields and pick a default owner, then open a list and go to **⋮ › Push leads to › Hubspot**. Keep the qualified leads and click **Start sync**.

Each contact lands in HubSpot with the email and the phone number Pipecorn found, and the sync uses no credits. Back in Pipecorn, every lead already in your CRM shows the HubSpot logo, one click from the contact. Salesforce works the same way. The video above shows the whole flow in under a minute, and each step below has its screenshot.

## What you need

On Free and Build, you can download a list as a CSV and import it into your CRM, or push it through the API, which every plan includes.

* **A Grow plan or higher.** HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive integrations start on Grow. See [Pricing](https://pipecorn.com/pricing).
* **A HubSpot or Salesforce account** you can approve Pipecorn on. Pipecorn asks for access to read and write contacts, companies and owners.
* **A saved list of leads in Pipecorn**, ideally enriched so it has emails and phones to send. See [Enrich a lead list you already have](https://pipecorn.com/pipeschool/lead-list-enrichment).

## Push your leads to HubSpot, step by step

1. ### Open Integrations and connect HubSpot
In the sidebar, open **Integrations**. The **CRM** tab lists Hubspot, Pipedrive and Salesforce. Click **Connect** on Hubspot.
HubSpot's own window opens. Pick your HubSpot account and approve the access. You land on Pipecorn's Hubspot settings, with a note that tells you to set up your CRM integration.

Integrations › CRM › Hubspot › Connect
2. ### Map the Pipecorn fields to your HubSpot properties
On **Contact Mapping**, each Pipecorn property has a dropdown of your HubSpot properties. Pick where each one goes, for example **Phones** to **Mobile Phone Number**. Each change saves by itself and shows **Integration updated successfully**. Fill **Company Mapping** the same way.
![The Contact Mapping table with Pipecorn properties on the left and HubSpot properties on the right, and Phones mapped to Mobile Phone Number](https://res.cloudinary.com/dqqyl36ed/video/upload/so_12.6,c_fill,ar_16:9,w_1280,f_auto,q_auto/pipecorn/university/crm-sync.jpg)
Phones › Mobile Phone Number
3. ### Choose who owns the contacts you create
On **User Mapping**, under **Default User Mapping**, pick a **Hubspot User**. That person owns the contacts created for team members you haven't mapped.
The setup is complete once the contact mapping, the company mapping and the default user are set. Until then, the push menu says **Complete your Hubspot setup** instead of **Hubspot**.

4. ### Turn on the switch that disqualifies anyone already in your CRM
On **Additional Settings**, where changes save automatically, turn on **Automatically disqualify contacts already present in the CRM ?**. It's off until you turn it on.
From then on, a lead added to a list who is already in HubSpot gets the status **Is already in the CRM**, so you don't push or work them twice. The check runs when leads are added to a list, so build the list after you turn the switch on.

5. ### Open a list and pick Push leads to › Hubspot
Go to **Leads**, open your list from **My Lists**, and click the **⋮** menu. Point to **Push leads to**, then click **Hubspot**.

⋮ › Push leads to › Hubspot
6. ### Keep the qualified leads and start the sync
The **Sync to Hubspot** window opens on **Sync options**. **Qualified** is ticked by default under **Lead status**, so disqualified leads stay out. You can also filter on **Email status** and **Phone status**, and a line tells you how many leads will be synced.
Tick **Create segment in HubSpot** if you want a segment for this sync. Then click **Start sync**. The sync uses no credits.

7. ### Open the contacts from Pipecorn
Each contact lands in HubSpot with the email and the phone number Pipecorn found, in the properties you mapped. Back in your list, every lead that's in your CRM gets the HubSpot logo next to its LinkedIn icon. Hover it for **Open in CRM**, and click to open the contact in HubSpot. The lead's panel also shows an **In CRM** badge.

8. ### For Salesforce, choose Contacts or Leads
Salesforce works the same way. Connect it under **Integrations**, then map the fields and the owner. Salesforce has one more mapping tab, **Lead Mapping**, and one more setting under **Additional Settings**. **Sync people to** creates people as **Contacts (with Account link)** or as **Leads** in Salesforce.

## What pushing leads to HubSpot costs

Connecting HubSpot or Salesforce, mapping the fields and pushing a list use no credits. The emails and phones you send were paid when you enriched the list, 3 credits for a work email and 30 for a mobile, only when Pipecorn found them. The integration itself needs Grow or Scale.

## Tips for a clean CRM sync

* **Turn on the disqualify switch before you build the list.** It checks leads as they are added to a list, so a list built afterwards comes out clean.
* **Map the phone field on purpose.** Phones only reach HubSpot in the property you map them to.
* **Enrich first, then push.** A list with emails and phones gives HubSpot something to call and email. [Run the waterfall](https://pipecorn.com/pipeschool/waterfall) on it before the sync.
* **More on the integration.** The [HubSpot integration page](https://pipecorn.com/hubspot-integration) covers the connection, and [CRM integration through an API](https://pipecorn.com/blog/crm-integration-api) explains how to sync contacts from your own code.
* **Cleaning up duplicates already in the CRM?** [Data deduplication](https://pipecorn.com/blog/data-deduplication) walks through it.

## Questions

### Which plans can push leads to HubSpot or Salesforce?

Grow and Scale. On Free and Build, you can download a list as a CSV and import it into your CRM, or push it through the API.

### Does pushing leads to HubSpot cost credits?

No. The sync uses no credits. Credits are spent when you enrich, 3 for a work email and 30 for a mobile, only when Pipecorn finds them.

### Will Pipecorn create duplicate contacts in HubSpot?

Pipecorn matches on email, so it doesn't create duplicates. Turn on the switch that disqualifies contacts already in your CRM, and the sync keeps them out by default.

### Who owns the contacts Pipecorn creates?

The HubSpot user you pick under User Mapping › Default User Mapping, for any team member you haven't mapped to a HubSpot user.

### Can I put the pushed leads in a HubSpot segment?

Yes. Tick Create segment in HubSpot in the Sync to Hubspot window before you click Start sync.

### Does it work with Salesforce?

Yes, the same way. Under Additional Settings, Sync people to lets you create people as Contacts linked to Accounts, or as Leads.

### Why does the menu say Complete your Hubspot setup?

The setup isn't finished. Fill the contact mapping, the company mapping and the default user under User Mapping, and the menu shows Hubspot.
